Attend our Benefit Concert

Hope Rising 2017

Herizon House is entering the new year full of excitement and anticipation of our third annual concert fundraising event, Hope Rising!

Hope Rising is our main event of the year, and we are pleased to announce that this year it will be held at the beautiful Deer Creek Banquet Facility on April 28th. Hope Rising will feature a concert by the wonderful Stacey Renee, and guests will have the opportunity to enjoy music, food, live and silent auctions, and our ever-popular prize bingo game!

Everyone who has attended Hope Rising in the past knows what a fun, uplifting and inspiring night it is. We are now looking for sponsors for the event, and will soon be opening ticket sales!

Contact our event coordinator, Lisa at for details!

Herizon House is a registered Canadian charity with a charitable tax number of 89722 2097 RR0001. At Herizon House we acknowledge that in order to end the cycle of violence we must work in partnership with our community. If you wish to support Herizon House and ensure that women and children can live without fear, then you can make a contribution that will ensure that our programs continue.

Cash donations are always welcome and appreciated and can be used for the following:

  • Sending a taxi to pick up the women and children who call our crisis line and are fleeing from violence
  • Medications/prescriptions
  • The purchase of bus passes
  • School trips for the children
  • Slush fund for the women and kids – money on hand for unforeseen immediate needs such as underclothing in their size or items needed for the children’s schooling/special needs.

Other Donations:

Herizon House is endlessly thankful for the continued support that we receive from the community. Your generous donations have the ability to make a positive difference in the lives of women and children who are forced to leave their homes and all that is familiar to them in order to find safety in our shelter. We genuinely appreciate all donation efforts, but regretfully cannot accept some items due to health and safety reasons and lack of storage options.

Here is a list of the items that cannot be accepted, although we do appreciate the thought:

  • Used children’s toys
  • Large furniture items
  • Baby furniture and equipment (cribs, strollers, play pens, car seats, etc.)

The following is a list of ways you can help and items that we are able to accept as donations. Thank you for your support!

Tangible Gift Needs:

Herizon House is always grateful for practical item donations for women, children and teens (girls and boys under 18 years of age). We ask that all clothing-related donations be seasonal (ie. summer clothes in the summer), again due to storage issues. The following is a list of suggested items:
