We offer free confidential services 24 hours a day and provide a place of safety, support and empowerment for abused women and their children. We are committed to ending the cycle of abuse and violence in the community.

Our Mandate:
Herizon House is mandated to provide services to women and their children in Durham Region. Herizon House will:
- Provide secure temporary shelter to abused women and their children.
- Provide non-judgmental, supportive counselling based on a feminist analysis of violence against women.
- Advocate on behalf of women and children.
- Educate the public about the issue of violence against women and their children.
Herizon House is a not-for-profit, charitable organization. We are committed to working cooperatively with other professionals and organizations to establish and maintain a seamless and comprehensive network of services for women who have been victimized by violence.
